Chapel Grove - New Zealand Olive OilCultivated in Kaipara Harbour, this New Zealand olive oil benefits from the unique ‘terroir' – a combination of sea air, land and water – of Chapel Grove’s estate which is specially suited to the cultivation of olives and is the secret behind the incredible lush flavours in our New Zealand Olive Oils.
Chapel Grove is a young estate which produces some of the finest quality cold pressed Extra Virgin New Zealand Olive Oil. It’s a family affair, with two generations planting and staking then pruning and nurturing the small olive trees. Olive trees generally take five years to mature, yet the first crop can be picked two years after planting. It is then judgement day, a special moment after years of toil, planning, preparing the soil, planting, staking and pruning the young olive trees, the fruits of our labour can be tasted and enjoyed. Our oils are rich in colour, highly aromatic, complex and well rounded with distinct flavours of fruity, minty, grassy and crisp aftertaste of pepper or cinnamon. Health benefits - rich in monounsaturated acids the health benefits of Extra Virgin Olive Oil are well documented – beneficial for those with a heart condition.
